    Overview

AOD-9604 is a synthetic fragment of human growth hormone (amino acids 176-191) developed to isolate the fat-burning properties of HGH without triggering IGF-1 elevation or insulin resistance. It has shown positive activities on fat metabolism and is being evaluated for improved metabolic health.

    Mechanism of Action

AOD-9604 primarily functions through selective activation of beta-3 adrenergic receptors in adipose tissue, leading to enhanced expression of beta-3-AR RNA in fat cells. It increases lipolytic sensitivity and responsiveness to metabolic stimuli and directly stimulates hormone-sensitive lipase activity. AOD-9604 promotes the breakdown of stored triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol, stimulating lipolysis preferentially in obese fat cells. It also inhibits lipogenesis and enhances fat oxidation and energy expenditure. The peptide avoids IGF-1 elevation, has no significant impact on insulin sensitivity or glucose tolerance, and preserves natural hormonal feedback mechanisms.

    Benefits

    • Fat loss
    • Weight management
    • Metabolic enhancement
    • Cartilage repair
    • Anti-obesity

    Reported Side Effects

    • Injection site reactions
    • Headache
    • Limited long-term human data

    Safety Notes

AOD9604 was found to be generally safe after chronic oral application in rats and cynomolgus monkeys. There was no evidence of any genotoxic activities of AOD9604. Six Phase I/II clinical trials confirmed an excellent safety profile across approximately 900 participants.
