An anti-inflammatory tripeptide derived from alpha-MSH. Potent immunomodulatory properties help reduce inflammation and support gut health.
KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It retains the anti-inflammatory properties of α-MSH without causing pigmentation changes and is studied for gut inflammation, skin conditions, and immune modulation.
KPV inhibits activation of NF-κB, a master transcription factor regulating immune responses and inflammation. By suppressing NF-κB it reduces production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6.
