    Cortagen is a brain-cortex-derived peptide bioregulator in the Khavinson short-peptide family. It is studied for neuroprotection, cortical function in aging, and peripheral nerve regeneration.

    Mechanism of Action

    Cortagen is a synthetic tetrapeptide bioregulator (Ala-Glu-Asp-Pro, AEDP) developed by Vladimir Khavinson. It is proposed to act through tissue-preferential gene-expression effects in the brain cortex via chromatin remodeling and modulation of transcription, supporting neuroprotection and peripheral nerve regeneration.
